Default starter

Last year I purchased a 2005 350Z convertible with just under 50,000miles. Recently, it would take 5-7 cranks on the starter before it finally starts. The battery is good. the incident has been getting more frequent. Is the answer just to replace the starter? Or is there another problem to consider?

There could be many possibilities. Have you tried pulling codes?

My first thought is cam position sensor but that usually throws a check engine light, and the slip light.

What octane fuel are you using? Have you ever replaced your air filter?
