New owner to my 350z , so don’t know a lot about the cars but I’m having a trouble finding the problem of why my top isn’t opening,
the windows go down but not the top,
also the light for convertible top is on and flashing as well

 

Seeing as this is your first post, welcome. A blinking indicator light is a signal of a malfunction and it could be any number of things as opposed to just one issue. It sounds like a trip to the dealership is in order since you're unfamiliar with the workings of the Z's roof. There are lots of threads on here with similar issues, but it would be best to take it to someone who knows what they're doing instead of just throwing parts at it.

 

Probably the first issue like me (2004 350z) is the 5th bow motor has failed. Can be fixed either by a patient mechanical do it your self person (plenty of clips on how) or the Nissan dealer ($$$$).
