So before I'm told to search I did. Can't seem to find my exact issue. I'm hoping I can get some help.
when I try to drop the top I push the button but only thing that happens is top releases from trunk. I have no power at the 5th bow motor. I can power the motor and it works well. Not lsure if it's a switch a relay or something else. Any help on this would be great. I bought the car like this prior owner pulled the 5th bow motor thinking that was the issue. I cleaned and tested the motor. It works nice and smooth.

 

did I put this in the wrong place? Can no one offer assistance?

 

It's in the correct spot, it's just that the subject has been covered sooo many times.
Start by checking your fuses and confirm that your brake/tail lights come on when the pedal is pressed. Read every related thread, you'll likely find the solution. Gl!

 

I have done all that . Problem I have does not seem the same as the posts I find.

 

It sounds like you have a rather obscure problem and a trip to the stealership may be in order.

 

I'm having the same problem.puchased my car Friday with top down and known not to work.to my surprise the next morning,hit the switch and it went up,till it got to the 5th bow function. Rebuilt my 5th bow motor today and bench tested.didnt change a thing
