Oh and I think the coupe is very nice looking, just doesn't compare to the beauty of a roadster nor does it get as much attention.

You are prolly correct on the affordding part, but then one could get an enthusiast vert (which is a lot cheaper) and not one person (who doesnt know much about the Z) would be able to tell a difference.

I have NEVER seen a woman with/driving a Z Roadster and I see quite a few here in So. Cal. Also I know 2 other people who has Z Roadster and they are both male. Maybe thats the case in the area you live,
BUT NOT IN SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

Im in a position where i can either get a coupe 350z or the roadster ? both have their advantages and their disadvantages and simply put i cant make my mind up and just wanted to know what you guys would do. I know the roadster is a little slower because of the extra weight but later on ill be getting a twin turbo so that doesnt matter. oh and one question do the coupe bodykits fit the roadster ? cause I havent really seen roadster kits for the z.

THIS IS FROM EXPERIENCE.
I had both Coupe & Roadster for about 3 weeks before I turned in my coupe
One thing you do have to remember is that I live in SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.

I love the 350Z roadster, it is a beauty.
And no, I dont own a roadster. I have the coupe, but the roadster is awesome looking with the top down.
And I agree with what others have said, not many convertibles look good with the top up. It is just the nature of the beast.
However, nothing beats the open-air fun that a roadster provides ... wind in your hair and the wonderful sound of the exhaust singing more clearly in your ears.

The Roadster is the first convertible that I've ever owned. I love it!! I love it!!! I thought the novelty would wear off...it hasn't. I have had it for seven months. I like it with the top up or down.
I always feel very proud when I drive this car.

In my dreams, I’d own both. Identical Zs; a roadster & a couple. Just check the weather report in the morning and then chose my Z for the day

I went to see the maserati coupe, and the roadster blends in quite nicely with all the other convertibles out there. While the coupe has its look. The sexy lines completed with the hard top is wonderful. What can I say other than I love to look at my Z sylver stone.

I have the roadster and love it. I bought it as a weekend car but find myself wanting to drive it all the time. I think it looks great with the top down (which is the way I usually drive it). I also like the looks with the top up. Most non Z owners tell me they like it both ways. I have the blue top which is not as common as the black.
That said I do like the fact that thier is not as many on the road. There are getting more and more though as I now see as many as 3 others on my drive to work and I only drive 3 miles to work.
But you can't beat a convertible in California and should of bought one a long time ago.

I own a Roadster, and no car has ever gotten the looks or compliments like it gets. Also, the Roadster does outhandle the coupe, thanks to the added stiffness and non-existing hardtop. The wind noise is no different from most convertibles, in fact its quieter than my 99 Eldorado Convertible and 93 Alante.

I truthfully like the coupe a lot more then the roadster. The coupe's hard top gives the car more of a curvy feel when you look at the roadster the back is flat and to me it looks just like a Audi TT. I like the Z because of it's uniqueness and the roadster looks like I said an Audi TT.

You can hit me on the forehead for this:
But I believe both cars are totally different. I wouldn't even compare the two on performance. Technically they're variants but to me they're two different styles. Why everyone argues about it is beyond me.
I orginally wanted the coupe because the roofline was one of the most sexiest things about the Z. The coupe has such an awesome looking profile reminiscent of legendary sports cars that came before it.
I wanted the enclosed sports/ performance race car I could take to the track. I'm sure you can track a roadster but the drag factor and openess is a little scary to me! I'm sure alot of you will disagree
Now the roadster is a beautiful car! Somedays I wish I had one ...especially in sunny california. To me it's more of a luxury cruiser than anything i'd heavily mod. I don't think of it as an alternative to getting a Z coupe. The roadster is it's own entity and you either want a convertible or you don't.
The hell with comparing the two!! It really depends on what you want.
