Default Driving the new car

I got my roadster yesterday I need information.

Is it ok to put the top down if it is wet or moist?

Brake in? With Toyota it's 500 miles, no high revs, no hard accell.
What is it with nissan?

RPM? Wht RPM do you crusie at?
I had a Accord 5 speed, I crusie at 2500 I think (been a while)
I had a 2000 Trans am, I would try to cruise at 1200 rpm.

What RPM is a good cruising speed?

thanks for everything!!

Thomas Nissan treated me awesome.

1) No...never store the top when it is wet or moist. It will mildew. The good thing is that our tops dry very quickly. If you do drop the top when it's wet, i.e. at night and it's a bit dewy, put it back up and let it air out once you arrive at your destination.

2) Break in is under 4k rpms for 1200 miles

3) can't answer your question about cruising rpms cuz I have the 5AT.

Congrats on finally getting your ride. Enjoy it.

theSmoothDome is absolutely right. Never put the top down when it's wet. After a few minutes drive in the sun it will be dry enough to put down. They dry incredibly quickly.

Congrats Scion. Details? Pics? As far as cruising rpm's, the engine makes a lot of torque (and hp) everywhere in the rpm range. I cruise in 5th or 6th and when I want to accelerate hard I shift down so that I'm just below peak torque (4500 rpm). That way I accelerate through peak rpm, and when I upshift I accelerate through peak rpm again, and again. The gears are closely spaced to facilitate driving with the engine around peak torque.

All the information you asked about is in the manual. The owners manual is one of the most important items you receive when you pick up your car but the least used
