Drive longer distances... Mine was like 17 somthing before... but after driving from Tampa to Orlando quite a few times... its now 19.7. But my MPG will go down again now that I'm just driving in the city and not long distances...

 

reset it while driving on the freeway, you should hit 30+ on a good foot.
I do mix city/freeway driving and I sometimes gun it (it's so hard not to with this car). Realisticly around 20mpg for mixed driving.

 

go on a trip that requires interstate driving for 100+ miles. i went from 14 to over 28mpg on a 200+mile trip in my '07

 

get a toyota and sing "i want my mpg"

i got 25mpg going on fwy for 2 days

 

Like the others said, take it on a trip. Be sure to get a bra or something to protect the front end because you will most likely end up like me with a chip in the paint. DAMN ROCKS!!!!!!

 

i get around 21 city and my best was 28 highway

 

So hows the MPG been going since you raised it? How old is he/she?

 

On my 2007 I can't get any worse than 18.3 mpg average. It is just a play car with very little highway driving. I hammer the crap out of it! ??

I get 99 mpg. I only drive downhill though.

One way is to drive like BJX does and redline every gear every time. That should help your MPG.

 

GO 70mph instead of 80mph.

 

You can't...it's impossible!
