Default Designing gauge pod...any input?

Hi everyone,

I'm working with a company who is interested in making a gauge pod for the 370Z! Any recommendations on where? I'm thinking about where the Nav would go but I'm not sure if everyone is getting it with Nav or not. Or maybe the driver's side little vent area I could design something that replaces it but still maintains vent function.

What do you think?

If in the existing Nav cubby area; the lid does not lift high enough to see the gauges in it IMHO. I suggest a lid replacement/modification.

Pics would help.

How about two more round gauge pod the same size of the existing 3-gauge cluster (i think the factory gauges are approx. 2" diameter) with 2 more gauges on top molded in or
2-gauges added in the drop down glass case.

Default Gauge pod design for 370Z

I agree which is why I was thinking of removing the lid completely. Keeping the lid would make it impossible to see anything inside the cubby. What do you think?

It seems that 2 60mm gauges will fit inside.
+ maybe a slot for a turbo timer??

If possible, I would like to keep the lid if it is possible to retrack it (AKA 2003 cubby lid) for the stealth look. I would just do a carputer to add the various gauges in the cubby. Do you know the interior diminisions of the cubby?

I'm going to test drive a 370Z tommorrow. What do you think on gauges in the drop down glass storage bin above the rear view mirror. It would drop down when you push the button to start![/COLOR]

Default New gauge pod ready in a few days!

I'm made a box for the cubby to manage 2 gauges and also a cover for it so it can maintain a stealth look. I agree that the lid would make it impossible to see the gauges inside. This should solve it!

I'm having some finishing touches done and I've scheduled to have it painted next week. It fits perfectly!
