Default AC will not turn on and Display is not reading

2018 Nissan Z 45k miles - The AC fan is blowing but the controls will not work. The display is showing ** for the Avg Fuel Econ and Distance to Empty. Everything else is working to the best of my knowledge. This has happened before and when I turned the car off and on it started working again. Not this time. Ideas?

If you've got a 2018 Z, just get the Nissan R&D engineers on the job and let the rest of us know what it looks like!

Otherwise, if it's a 2008 Z33, I'd suggest the white HVAC control box may be malfunctioning. It's located behind the waterfall dash and can be accessed by unplugging it. To verify any failures, do a scan of the BCM (body control module) to see if any codes have been triggered and held in memory.

I believe you are mistaken, Dkmura. It's a 2018 Z34. I realized it was I thought "WOW, that console it wrapped nicely and those gauges are different", then realized it wasn't a 350z.
