Default Nissan Sport Aero Test of 240Z Mentions Nismo Z

Read the Nissan Sport Aero test of the 240Z this month. There are actual aero numbers for the Nismo Z including downforce generated by the aero parts at 70 mph. The parts are functional people. I asked the author Mike where the numbers came from and hear is his answer.

Those numbers came from Nissan. I'm not at liberty to say how they were gotten, but they were provided to me. I did not obtain them... Ask Nissan Sport!

As a note of comparison, My 996TT with GT2 Rear wing is pulling similar numbers to the NISMO 350Z... That NISMO package is no joke gang! :2thumbs:

Mike

FYI Nissan dealerships will have "replacement parts" available for non nismo Z owners to retrofit these proven pieces

That has yet to be seen. No dealer has been able to even get anything.

We hear from Nissan that no NISMO 350Z-specific parts will be available aftermarket except to replace damaged parts. Parts will be shipped to the dealer directly from Japan and the damage needs to be confirmed by the dealer.

BTW, we'll have more insider NISMO 350Z tidbits in future issues, info that came out of an interview with one of the car's engineers.

Cool Dave. Looking forward to it. Do you know where the Nismo Z aero data came from in the Nissan Sport 240Z aero article?

I hope this is true Dave, because Z1 and Andy at Performance Nissan both say you are wrong.

I'm just repeating what I heard from Nissan Specialty Vehicle Unit that is in charge of NISMO 350Z. I'll got an e-mail into them now and will provide an update.

The Cd specs came directly from Nissan from our interview.
