The custom cams sound real aggressive. The full throttle vid sounds incredible almost V10 like. Sounds completely different than my setup.

Thanks! Good to hear that your car is coming along.

Differential update
Unfortunately the rear is still whinning like crazy. I don't know if it's just my imagination but I think it is louder than before. I'll have to talk to Infiniti and see what they say. This will be the fourth time they open it...

SPL Front Camber Arms
SPL parts sent me replacement shims and Zcar installed them and realigned it. So everything is kosher there. SPL suggested to check the knuckles for damage and everything is fine and not damaged.

SPL Rear Camber Arms
While I was working on my car today. I noticed that the camber arms are completely bent out of shape at the hub assembly. I just emailed SPL and I'll see what they have to say. In the pics, it seems like it is narrower towards the hub assembly but it's not.

Undertray Replacement
I got around to installing the Zspeed shroud since mine was heavily damaged from being dragged on the floor. I had to modify it since the GT-spec brace is in the way.

Zspeed shroud installed. Had baby powder on it from my latex gloves.

Spacers that I used to clear the brace.

Southbend Clutch
Clutch is stilll driving great and very smooth with practically no chatter. Nothing to complain about so far. Here are some pics of the old clutch.

Osiris Tuning
Zcar spent an hour or so doing some street tune with me the other week and the results were fantastic. The car idles and revs up to redline very smoothly now. A much more civil car to drive around and the fumes are a lot less pungent.

Oil Consumption
The modification that Zcar has done to the PCV seems to be helping out, but I haven't really pushed the car yet to really tell due to the breakin of the clutch and bearings from the differential. This weekend I'll really put the pedal to metal to see how it fairs.

Talked to SPL over the past couple of days and the cause for this problem is due to the whiteline poly bushings for the rear camber arms. When the suspension compresses the arm moves in an arc and not in a straight up and down motion like the midlink. Since the poly bushing is stiff most of the stress is being absorbed by the prongs as oppose to the bushing. I will be replacing half of the camber arm as well as the poly bushing to spherical bearings.

Thanks SPL for the great customer service once more.

Are they suggesting a slight head gasket leak?

Yeah they are suggesting a coolant leak thru the head gasket. This was my intuition hence the reason I sent the sample to blackstone. I wanted to get this done since the engine will be pulled out for the oil consumption.

Still sorry to hear about the additional down time. I've got to go in and pull apart mine this comming week due to a consumption issue as well (but I'm using it to complete some mods that probably should have been done originally).

Yeah, the motor is going to get pulled this week and sent back to Rebello for inspection. There is a blown head gasket on cylinder 3 and hopefully he can figure out the oil issue. Since the motor is out, I've decided to add the pathfinder cooling mod, ati pulley, and and oil cooler. Perhaps change out the cams too.

I'm glad that Zcar did the work and that they are standing by their work.

Good luck, but by now it is probably done already. How did it go?

Man, it never fails... long story short, got rear-ended and put it in the shop, I should be on schedule for the tear down next week.

Do you plan on going with another set of aftermarket cams or a custom grind?

If you going with a custom grind, I recommend you talk to David at headgames motorworks.

I'm mainly dissapointed in the lower end power, but I'll see what Rebello thinks.

Not sure at this point but perhaps a custom grind that will be taylored to these LTH as oppose to the LTH from rebello.

Engine is currently at Rebello and should be getting fixed and be back within the next few weeks.

Got the wheels in the other day, but little disappointed on the wheel weight though. Not as light as I'd expected them to be though.

19"x9.5" +15 = 21.8lbs
19"x10.5" +15 = 23.6lbs

Wow. I cannot believe, I missed this thread. Love it, love everything about it. This is exactly where I'd like to take my G. NA stroker build. Good to see someone has the cojones to do this. I'm sure I'll have many questions for your Gabe when I get started.

edit: Love how the car sounds. Engine response seems to be very much improved. Are you tracking at all?
