That forum never bothered me, I actually liked reading some of the stories. I doubt this move is going to save any lives, it will just appease the bleeding hearts here who think it will actually make a difference in driver safety.

yea It's not like a my350z member who lives in CA would organize a race with a member from texas and meet up. 90% of the stories were just races people would have with their friends, or just random races on your way somewhere. It was a place where you could share what happened, compare the outcomes different mods would have on other people's races. I think taking the section out completely is not going to stop racing or affect it in any way.
I miss it and wish it wasn't gone.

That poll was setup wrong... they grouped the "Against" and "Don't care" in the same answer, so the results are off.

 

Saw this on another forum, true info as well (even though a few years old)...

Number of deaths due to street racing in the world in 2004: 141

Number of deaths due to falling coconuts in the world in 2004: 151

Number of deaths due to children falling into five gallon buckets in 2004: 487

So let's ban buckets and coconuts, since they're dangerous.

Lately, I have seen quite a few BS threads spread around the forums that probably would have been posted in the street racing forum.......if it still existed.
Just because you have a street racing forum does not mean that you encourage or condone it.
There are probably very few of us who have not sped or have been involved in some minor type of racing at some point. If you haven't, why have a Z in the 1st place?
I say bring the forum back. If for no other reason, to help stop "street racing" posts from popping up in the other forums.

Admins/mods have shown little interest everyone's opinions and even less in entertaining the idea of bringing the forum back. Its about time to drop the subject and find another SR forum.
