sigh, i would have gone FI already but my other hobby is taking precedence... good luck with the Nismo Z, but wouldn't a Track model with Boost+normal mods be cheaper and equivalent to a Nismo Z+boost? i.e. Aftermarket suspension, drivetrain components, and tune?

 

It would be cheaper in the long run, as I learned when boosting my 06' Nismo.

But I don't have the money right now for sound system, seats, exhaust, brakes, rims, bodykit, turbos, boost controllers, clutch, gauges, fuel return, etc. etc... parts alone is another 15k.

My goal with this Nismo is to bring it here and just enjoy it the way it is while paying it off. 15k shouldn't take me more than a year. I mean you know as well as I do that looks alone will make most guys drool and girls panties drop.... lol

So, I've been busy setting up my car for the competition every night for last 3 days. My wife is on vacation in the US... which means I have a lot of free time after work... So, I've been repeating Work->Superdrift->Home by 1AM for last 3 days~

I took out my stock driver seat and put in a Bride bucket seat which I burrowed from a buddy yesterday. Then I put on my race wheel/tires today... Advan RS 18X10J +15 with Advan Neova 265/35/18 all around. My 6 piston brembo caliper with 380mm rotor was rubbing the inside of the wheel just a little bit, so we had to grind down some material from the caliper...





Tomorrow (Thursday), I'm going to lower my car.. Then I should be good to go...

 

Hey guys, I heard electronics are somewhat cheap out there... I'm planning on picking up a DSLR but not sure if I should buy it before I leave here or wait until I get out there to buy one. Any truth to the cheapo electronics thing? If so, that would be AWESOME.

 

because im in college and has 2 jobs that pay a total of 70 dollars a week. fail.

 

It will all be worth it when your getting sideways on the track....

bboy - DSLRs run almost the same price out here. it depends what you want though... i myself am saving up for the 5D MK2 and there are a few places out here that have them. They are however: grey market. so you're warranty will not be up to par here in Korea (anywhere else in the world it's okay) but they do have a lot of other cameras here... i'll show you a store that is known for great items:

I went to SAS 09 yesterday, it was pretty disappointing. I saw some of the worst wheel fitments and fiberglass work I have ever seen at that show. However, there was a descent Supra and RX-7 there... Anyone else go?

we were at the DDGT. there was nothing disappointing about that place except the long ride to get there and back. It did make for some interesting conversations on the ride back though... lol
