Bose Vs Non Bose System
I will like to know if the BOSE system is a lot better than the non BOSE system because a friend of mine is selling me the BOSE system for $300. Also will I have any proble installing it when replacing the one I got?
Thanks

It's not much better. Keep in mind that you have to replace the entire system, not just the head unit. The Bose HU is non-standard and is not directly interchangeable with the non-bose HU. You need their amps, sub and possibly the speakers. If you're going through all that trouble, you might has well replace it all with an aftermarket unit.

And what he said is the main reason why I didn't opt for a BOSE system when I bought the car. IMO, the quality of the speakers are crap!! But I don't think all BOSE stuff is crap either...

I disagree, the bose system is worlds better than the stock system if you are talking about an 03 bose with the upgraded CE400 amp or an 04 model. The bose system can go louder w/o distortion, has more bass, RDS, and a 6cd in dash changer+cassette. T
That said, it is still not a great system, and definitely not worth $300. Especially not when you consider all the work you'd have to do to install it. For $300 you're better off replacing your head unit or speakers.
