High Level Imput Lines........VS.........RCA cables
Hello all audio experts
My question to all of you is which setup will create the least amount of stereo "noise" while retaining the (BASE HU)?
First setup:
Stereo input tapped/spliced in by a H/L converter at the (BASE HU) then input run via shielded RCA cables down the console and to the amps RCA inputs.
Second setup:
Stereo input tapped/spliced in by HLIC at the (BASE HU) then run via #18 wires down the console and into the amp which accepts high level input.
I will run the RCA cables no matter what, just for future upgrades.
But for now I'm looking for the best setup with least amount of noise.
Thanks everyone

You know my input ZQ.... first setup is preferred. If you're going down the middle 6' RCA's work well. I don't know why everyone says 10' down the middle, I had a little slack even using 6'.

I was just seeing if someone had better luck with the HLIC vs RCA cables. Still running RCA's no matter what the outcome is...

But it no worky for me since I have a Base HU.
I believe the hi inputs on your amp are similar circuitry as the LOC you will use near the head unit. They convert a hi to low that the amp can use. HI to LO to HI seems like a waste I know, but you wilkl get better quality if you use the converters behind your head unit.
