Default Power cable and firewall

I just noticed the place that installed my speakers and sub drilled through the firewall to run the power cable. However they did not use a firewall grommet. My question is, will the 4 gauge cable insulation be cut overtime from rubbing against bare metal? Or is the insulation thick enough whereby I do not have to be concerned.

I would be concerned. The bare metal will likely eat through the insulation with enough time. I would make them fix it.

Cehome,

Thats why I installed my own sh$t. Its not about the money, but I don't trust most of the installers.

The installer cut a big a$$ hole in my brother's land cruiser and it caused water leakeage.

Yeah, I usually do it myself, but did not have the patience to pull and reinstall the panels in the Z. Especially the rear. This place is pretty reputable. I was rather surprised when I saw it.

I'd take it back and demand that they do it right. If that shorts out ....

Yeah, I haven't done mine but it looks as if there is plenty of room in the existing area to run the wire through.
