So you might have seen where i wanted to replace my factory setup with Aftermarket stuff.
Anyways, Its nearing christmas and i have the option to get some stuff for my Z.
I want to work on the sound.
So, My question is what subs sound I get to replaced the REAR
speakers?
Also, Im thinking of getting a ddx7015, sirius kenwood brains and antena.
Could you guys offer any advice. I need to order some stuff asap.
Lastly, Where does the factory mount the stock satillite brains in our 350s?
Ive never seen factory installed sat radio on a Z so I have no clue.

How much you looking to spend, what components are you going to get for the front, what type of music do you listen to?

If you do a search, you'll find that a lot of people like Infinity Kappa Perfects and Focal 165KP(i think this series) Boston Acoustics.

For subs, JL is always a good choice. MTX just came out with a new line.

For amps, there's tons. Phoenix Gold, Memphis Audio, Xtant, MTX, JL.

 

I listen to all types of music.
Im not looking to spend a ton, I was thinking about jl for the front and rears.
Just didnt know if its a good idea.
Going with 7015 for hU.

 

If you want, you can stick with an all JL setup. Where were you looking to install the sub? And, how many were you looking to get?

The XR650CSi is their mid-level series. I've heard pretty good things about them. They have a new ZR line. You can power either with a JL 450/4.

For behind the seats, I'm not too sure what would fit. Maybe a JL 10w3v2 on each side powered by a JL 500/1.

 

do you think the head unit is a good choice?
also, where do they mount the stock brains for a sat radio

 

IMO, it sucks and you should give it to me.

It's an awesome HU. My friend has one in his Tacoma and if I didn't have my current setup, I'd get one. Not sure how big it is, it should fit under either seat. The antenna can be mounted anywhere.
