Question Update to Navigation DVD?

Anyone have information on how to get updates for the
Z's navigation system? The one that came with my 2004
seems to be about 2 years old!

Anyone you talk to will agree. We all need updated DVD's. You can buy them direct from the comapny that makes them for Nissan and Infinity but they are something like $175. So it would be a lot better if someone out there would be willing to burn us some copies. Anyone want to step up to the plate with a 05' Navigation DVD?

Will the DVD from my Pioneer Nav work? Or is this stuff proprietary? Just hade it installed so it's at least an 04 disk. Oh btw, I saw that the updates for Pioneer are ove $300.00!

anyone know the name of the company? If so, I'll do some direct contact.

See if there is a cheaper option... possibly a group buy... I'm due for an update also. Skipped the first year because I felt it was too pricey.

Me too....I still get retailers like Service Merchandise,(out of business), and areas near where I live that are fully developed, but the Nav shows that area as a blank........

Interesting.

My dealer told me new dvd's were sent periodically to owners (he just said they were about a year behind at the time) and that if I couldn't wait for that, there was a way to go online to download the latest file... I would just need a DVD burner.

Was that BS? I'll certainly have to check back now.

My entire neighborhood, including all cross streets are blank. Kind of hard to set up home when the system doesn't recognize it.

Add me to the list of interested parties to get a burn.

Add me too.

I don't mind paying for an update, but want to be sure that there are updates that are useful to me.
