I wouldn't do it if I were you. Too many problems can arise from ordering stuff online. Especially car electronics. A lot of them come with no warranty at all. If you're going to order online try to order from someplace that has a real store location also. This usually means they are an authorized dealer and not just some person that buys stuff off e-bay and stores it all in a garage.

And if you need warranty work? Who are you gonna go to? That's the problem. If anything goes wrong you have to take the part out, send it back to them, they will send it back to the manufacturer, and hopefully within 2-3 months you will have your product back.

Santa is right to some extent. You take slight a risk when you buy online. The other opinion is online stores have equipment that is sometimes less that half of brick and mortar stores. I have bought many pieces of audio equipment online and have save a ton of money. My advice would be to just research the products you are going to buy and make sure they are reliable. Also, some online stores will let you send stuff back if it breaks or is defective. Just do a little homework and you should be able to save yourself some money. I have never ordered from the store listed above but I have ordered from Ikesound.com and thezeb.com with favorable results. I guess the bottom line is it's a risk that has paid off for me.

I would order certain things from them, like wires and cables. I would even order a sub box. I would NOT order any expensive electronics unless I checked with the manufacture to see if they are authorized to sell it. If not I would limit my purchases to minimum dollars. LOL

a lot of the "risks" can be negated if you have a good credit card.

Yeah I don't know if I trust ordering from the company that I origanally brought up. I made an account just to see how much shipping was, and to see if they used a secure type deal when ordering with credit card. Well the page were it asks your credit card number is not secure, no lock at the bottum of the screen and no S at the end of http in the web address.....

I'll add www.thezeb.com to NismoGGoupe's list. Never had a problem with any of the on-line orders I've placed with them.

www.thezeb.com is pretty good as well as www.sounddomain.com's store

both places are the only online dealers of Phoenix Gold. PG is picky about the stores off-line that they give dealership privileges to. So I figure those online stores must not be too bad.
