So for months now Terk has had the XM Smart Digital Adapter for Sony, Kenwood, and Pioneer head units. This is that sick little one the allows you to use the standard HU controls for XM ready units. Its nice, cheap, and easy to install. (I put one on my buddy's Sony HU) Of course they STILL have not made one for Alpine HUs. And of course the ONLY one ALpine ever made was discontinued long ago. SO...does anyone have the old Alpine one that they could give me some info about. I found a few on ebay but I'm trying to decide if I should just wait for the Terk one which I know works well or get this one off of Ebay. thanks for the help.

 

Just took out my alpine xm tuner. Replaced it with sirius. What info do you need?

 

How was the quality..was the signal good. Did it sound alright...Did you have the TUE-XXXX i forget the model number that plugged directly into the HU or was yours the RF modulator one..

 

it was the alpine tua-t020xm. signal and sound quality were good. it was connected directly to my HU via an Ai-net cable.

I dont think so. I was planning on putting it in my wife's car. she likes xm better than sirius.

 

Wierd I just installed my old one in my mothers car for her christmas present.
