Talking Eclipse AVN-2454 installed

Just a few shots of the first audio mod I had installed. All I got to say about this unit is WOW! At first it was hard to justify paying this much for the Damnn thing, but Damnn it was worth every penny.

when you first turn it on

navi works really good. oh yeah and you can listen to your CDs while the navi is in use

How much did ya end up paying for it? I've always been a huge Eclipse fan, but authorized dealers around here jack the prices up sky high.

Umm, I know a dealer in NJ that does not jack up prices. His name is Don, 732-921-9046. Tell him you were referred by MACALERT on maxima.org. He has awesome prices, did my whole sounds system and alarm.

I bought it from an authorized dealer for $1800.00 installed. I've also been a big fan of Eclipse for quite some time and all my headunits since 2000 have been eclipse. the only bad part about this unit is the low voltage output of under 1 volt. I believe it's .8 volt output.. over all i rate this unit 9 out of 10.

ive always thought that the eclipse was a cheap off brand stereo.

everytime i go into fry's or best buys they always tried to sell a me an eclipse mp3 player that looked like garbage that cost like over $500

dude what are you talking about. An FM modulator for what How do you want one really bad if you don't even know what your talking about. I suggest you find out what you want in a stereo and do some reasearch on the products instead of posting nonsense.

I agree that eclipse head units aren't the best looking stereo's but they spend alot of mooney on R&D and there components to make it exceptional performance for sound Q.

Would you mind posting the name and location of the shop that you purchased from? I'm trying to hold out a few more months until the AVN5495 is released, but, $1800 installed is very tempting. Congratulations on your purchase!!!

umm u dont know what your talking about, an fm modulator is an alternative for someone who wants a screen but dont want to take out there bose head unit

i know the sound quality will be really bad but it is better than paying extra for the bose system at the stealer and than taking it out for a $2000 screen.

I already know what i want you ****, a screen and a dvd player that will only cost me about $300. I know a lot about car stereos and some people are not ballin like you.

Thanks bro. the reason that I got the price was al & eds auto sound had one of those sales. They were offering 50% off but required install. so the head unit was $1250.00 with tax, install was $400.00 and parts (harnesses, trim kit & misc) $150.00. which is still cheaper than paying $2400 plus install. I suggest to wait for another one of those sales and buy the unit.

Nice system !!!! Eclipse is the best! Could you take some pics of the other screens, such as EQ, Surround sound setting and speaker placement?

Thanks!
