Default What in-dash DVD unit to get?? ADVICE needed

Well, i'm almost never in this part of the forum cause i never do audio/video upgrades on any car except maybe a cd player. But my twin sister works at Best buy while she is still in school and they get monster discounts on car audio/video stuff. I'm talking like 50-60% off. So I was thinking about getting an in dash DVD unit so I was wondering if all you audio/video experts could recommend one of the available choices at best buy. Its pretty much between the Jensen, Kenwood and the first Pioneer on the list in the following link. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

in dash dvd players

Default Kenwood DDX7015

By far the best for the price it's usually listed at..You could get better, but you'd pay premium.

jesus $2000 for the AVIC-N1?! I can get that thing for $1250 through my wholesaler! Well, thats best buy for you.

even without a wholesale, you shouldn't pay more than $1400 for the AVIC-N1 or you're getting ripped off.

The Kenwood DDX-7015 is a nice TV, my girlfriend just got it for her SUV, its being shipped after xmas. Its definately a good bang for the buck, she paid $900 and it came with already thrown in.

Look at Alpines too. Great company.

Default Got mine thru my military exchange

I purchased my Kenwood DDX7015 for $899.00 no tax and free shipping. I've also seen them on Ebay around 950 to 1000.00. It depends on when and where you get them from.

I only looking at bestbuy because it will be at least half off, else I woudlnt' even consider paying that kinda money for something non performance related. I'm talking $700 max price, but again i'm just looking not set in stone. I like the alpines too but i probably will rarely use it so i'm not set on top of the line stuff.

Thanks for all the advice!

Alpine IVA-D300...only $1,500 and it's incredible. Pulse Touch touch screen is wicked awesome. When you push a button on the screen it feels like you're pushing a real button. The Kenwood is good but the way it opens/closes seems fragile. Another good thing about the Alpine is the I-POD interface...it lets you plug your I-POD in and control it with the HU controls.
