Default CARPC questions

Hi

I was wondering if it was possible to have a Carpc and the stock non bose stereo setup and use both for music, i am planning on replacing all the speakers with Alpine 6.5 components int the front and 6.5 in the rear with an Alpine 4 ch amp. and a basslink for a little bass, my question is I want to connect the audio from the pc and also the audio from the OEM headunit, what is the best way to make this happen?

Thanks for all your help

the easiest is use a fm modulator since the non-bose have don't have tape (I think). There are of course other options depending how much you want to spend and how custom you want it to be.

note, the fm modulator quality is not as good as direct input, but for using it as audio input from most build in soundcards on laptop/ pc, it's not that bad.

Mi dave arrivare la 350Z a giorni e come sulla vecchia macchina che avevo voglio rifare lo stesso impianto su questa...!

Sull'impianto Bose non c'è un ingresso AUX nel quale inserire l'audio del PC?!?!?

Since you have the stock Bose system, you might as well buy yourself a new headunit that has an Auxilary (Red/white RCA) input. That way you can connect audio from your laptop (get a Y splitter with 3.5mm on one end and red/white RCA on the other) to your headunit. Then you'd use the source button on the headunit to alternate between FM/AM/SAT radio, CD player, and AUX (your CarPC). Hope this helps!

And considering all of the money and time you'll put into upgrading speakers, installing an amp, etc. I would not just leave your car PC using an fm transmitter/modulator. Just save a little more and buy a decent headunit with built-in Auxilary inputs.

Thanks of the info but what chedevo I it is since nn I still know com'
are the series system would have avoided to change it if were a AUX!

If not there is the radio it originates them it disappears fastly and
it comes sure replaced from this...!

Therefore I would succeed also makes us to be reader DVD in the space
that is left over eliminating the series car radio!

Thanks for the reply

I was thinking of that but my only problem with that is theft, someone looking through the window will see the stock stereo so it would deter them from stealing it, so i was hoping to use that head unit and the pc would be hidden enough to look stock

Heres a question?

If I had an amplifier with both RCA inputs and speaker level inputs, could I use both ( 1 for my stock HU and RCA for my carPC) and when one is on it will play that one and when the other is on it will play the other, now will there be interference ?

It was of facts my intention to use the car radio originates them as
audio source and to hide the monitor of the PC under to the
portaoggetti centers them! the card mother miniums-itx I must still
find a place to us! Therefore therefore hiding comes all!

creed there would be problems! Otherwise I would not know...!
