The amps I have had specifically stated one or the other, not both simultaneously.. But I think the advice to use Y-splitters might work..of course you would need to provide RCA inputs from both sources or use an LOC.

I tried two methods in the past.. Line output converters (LOC) and high-inputs on the amp. Neither one produced the sound quality I needed so I ended up with a new head unit. But anyway-

LOC - range from cheapies by Tsunami or at pep Boys to expensive such as Audiolink. **Basic wiring hookup is speaker output from head unit connects to input of LOC. Gain controls are usually included on the LOC and then RCA out to amp. Single or dual LOCs can also serve as quad input to amp with Y RCA adapters if you are not concerned with front/rear fading.

In my trials I got the best response turning down the level on the LOC and turning up the gain on the amp. Also I can say I was more successful running hi to lo converters for Subs (using the lo-pass filter on the amp) than trying to use them for mid-range.
