another question for you guys on the radio setting what would be my best bet with setting the LOUD to? I have an option to have it OFF-LOW-MED-HIGH, med sound to low but high sounds to harsh

what deck is it?

LOUD is a setting I hate more than any other...it screams cheap peice of crap to me. It boosts the low and high frequencies

btw I just put those grounding terminals in and im about 90% sure that was the problem , I can now adjust the gain without any crackling but I will not be sure until tomorrow I still haven't tried raising the volume to see if they cut out yet

look up in your manual how to use the EQ and tune as such, the loud feature is crap...

you want things to sound as even as possible to your ears

Ashmo & TeesZ

Thanks for your help, the problem was definetly bad grounding for that one amp I can turn the volume all the way up now without the amp cutting off on me.

Ashmo, I did what you said I took the LOUD OFF and I deceided to raise the gain on the amps a little more and started adjusting the settings, all I have to say is I havent heard the DA Hex's shine until a few minutes ago these speakers are F***ing Loud and Clear, now that the LOUD is turned off, my ear are still ringing. Before when I had the LOUD on, the Hex's did sound good but only to a certain point then they began to get really harsh.

I always thought the LOUD setting should be on but it sound so much better with it off with the right settings, I'll be doing some more tweaking tomorrow.

Thanks again for your help

a LOUDNESS button is used to compensate for the human ear at low volumes. in theory, the loudness boost (at the highs and the lows) should attenuate as the volume increases. So, its not a "bad" thing necessarily.

I dont think its bad but with it off now I was able to hear the fully potential of these speakers without them being so harsh

Awsome NismoGCoupe, glad you figuered your problem out! Glad also that the speakers are as pleasing to you as you expect them to be!
