Installed Head Unit (problems) help!
Hey Guys,
I had "HiFi Buys" install the "Panasonic CQ-VD7500U" 7" DVD/CD/MP3 player in my car. The unit is awesome but I have a few problems with it.
1) After the install my factory "shift light" no longer works.
2) The head unit does NOT get power when the car is off and in accessorie mode. Which means I can't listen to music when the car is off??
3) I will be driving down the road and the head unit will simply turn off, reset itself and then turn back on.
HiFi Buys is suggesting that my head unit is "faulty" and that I should return it. Does this seem right? Has anybody had a simliar problem with this model or another model? And why does my shift light not work now??
Thanks guys,

Shift light might not work only becouse they disconected the battery while insalling it. so it went to the factory settings. If they say they will replace it then go get a new one...

go get that reinstalled somewhere else then carry the bill back to them and tell them to shove that load ofsh!t up their incompetent a$$.
Ask them to fix the shift light. They will refuse. Then go to the dealership and get the shift light fixed. Then, hand them the bill.

Great, another HiFi-buys F***up. My car is still in the shop, and it has been 3 weeks thanks to HiFi. Make them fix whatever problems you have, that's why they have insurance.
See my thread..... and good luck.

Me 2. I have been a customer for about the last 10 years, and have spent close to 10K with them. As long as they own up to the mistake I guess that's all we can hope for. By the way, if you have to deal with their insurance company they are very very very slow. If you have problems, I still have the cell phone # to the instalations District Manager. If they don't give you a satisfactory resolution to the problem, hit me up and I can PM you his personal cell phone #. He seems to be a good guy and wants to make sure his customers stay around.
Let me know.
