Default Way to Boost FM signal Strength?

I have an aftermarket head unit, amp, and speakers all around - but I still barely get any FM reception. I have tried a few different antennea, but they didn't seem to help.

Does anyone know of a device that boosts the FM signal between the antenna and the head unit? I was hoping for something I could mount in-line back in the trunk area.

Ideas??

I live just outside Seattle, and there are lots of very strong radio stations around here. In every other car, they come in loud and clear - just not my Z.

Ahsmo, are you saying that the car comes already equiped with a Clarion FM booster from the factory? And the one you linked is better?

Yeah, if one was to take apart the entire rear end of the car, there is a FM amp back there.

I think thats just a booster, I really do not know how it works. It does not look like it replaces the factory one. I think you just add it inline with the exsisting FM crap. I would suggest calling crutchfield for more information. Also, they will tell you anything to buy the little thingy so watch out.

I think the amp is powered off of the electric antenna wire so be sure that your HU electric antenna output is connected. I didn't connected this the first time I installed my HU and I could only get one station. Don't get your hopes up though. Even with that amp powered, I still cannot receive as many stations as other cars.

I was told by an installer the the factory antennas are matched to the factory radio, so even with the antenna output connected it still may not be enough.
