I know this is an old post but this info helped me. Whoever installed the Alpine deck in mine (CDA 9857) had the green/white wire plugged into a empty port in the harness connector. No power going to it. I rewired it and it fixed the problem. Thanks for the info!

You have to reinstall your radio reception or buy a good quality radio reception from a good company.

Additional complication to this problem if anybody could help. I am installing a Pioneer unit, PAC ROEM, and video bypass. The bypass says I should splice together the Amp Turn On (blue/white) on the PAC ROEM and the radio's Remote Turn on (blue/white) but I should not hook up the power antenna wire to to this lead.

After reading it sounds like the power antenna definitely has to be hooked up but where does it go if the bypass instructions says not to hook it to the Remote Turn on- on the Radio?

dead thread back to life. there are several recent ones that anwers most questions here. since you posted here, i guess i will post here to help you out.
hooking the antenna to that wire should have no effect on the bypass feature
unless that particular bypass module works differently. (it should'nt)
I know of instances where they recommend not using that for the reason it will overload the wire. many have done it (including myself) without any problem. I have a bypass as
well.

I apologize I didn't realize this was a dead thread since a previous poster must have commented just a few days ago. I searched quite a few times and found the same issues answered but i couldn't find anything related to the bypass in this regard.

Thank you for the advice. I will hook it up to the same wire and see if that works out smoothly.
