OK, question: Does all this only apply to the pre-order cars that were within the VIN# range provided in the Bose TSB? What happened to all the cars built after that? Do they simply have the amp swap already done, and will therefore perform unsatisfactorily as well, or did they do something else to fix the problem?

Znetuser thanks for the update
Thanks for the update and explanation on what is going on. I am planning to try some experiments on the circuit you provided and try out some different capacitor sizes and resistor values.
I have access to a fairly good variety of these items and will see what happens today.
I could be that the Bose Amp circuit is a little more complex and just can't be fixed this way.
Another option might be a way of changing the input to the subwoofer amplifier itself.....we'll see.

I would think that the circuit connected through the mic would need to know what had just been sent to the speakers otherwise it would constantly be trying to compensate for the actual stereo sounds and not just the background noise.
Would it be possible to tap off of the line level signals between the head unit and the amp and feed this into the mic line to provide the signal it wants to filter out and then it would have a quite background. In my previous experiment with the circuit to replace the mic the sound was fantastic for the first minute or two then it would start changing things again, I thought maybe it was trying to find its own signal as a reference point.

Auid Pilot Update
Well you can see my results and testing of the Bose system in this thread https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=13239
Basically I am giving up on making this work. I know Nissan will not do anything. I am planning to install new amps to correct the problem.
Good luck to anyone else. Let us know if you find any solutions.

to those of you who did the amp TSB and think the stereo sounds fine now....
try this test... turn up the volume to a bit louder than normal and then adjust treble and bass controls.....
you'll find they the tone of the sound does NOT change much if any at all.
At least before the amp TSB I was able to adjust the treble and bass... not anymore.
this Bose is the muddiest most nasty sounding "Premium" OEM system I've heard.
call 1.800.nissan.1 to get this fixed!
