loud noise when connecting dvd inside z
when I plug the dvd audio to the back of my head unit it gives off a loud noise. The power to the dvd player is from a power converter plugged into the cig lighter.
has anyone else hooked it up like this?
thanks for any help

In short, dont plug the rcas into the back of the head unit with the aux input on.
no, i'm using an after market one. I also get this when I have my laptop plugged into the power converter and plug the audio from the laptop into the front of the headunit with a wire from the headphones out on the computer.
Well make sure that your inverter line/wire is as far away as possible from your RCA's. I'm troubleshooting the same problem at the moment. Maybe its the amount of power being drawn to it, cause I did not have this problem running a small dvd player in my old max.
well let me know if you find a solution, I'm about to switch to a head unit that has dvd, gps, mp3. yet still would like to connect the ps2 to it, and don't want the same issue.
