Yes you can. And it also has memory to return back to whatever angle you had it set at when it's shut down then turned back on again.

Well, i've played with several floor models and the monitor just doesn't seem very stable, which may be the case for most of the flip out monitors. I just feel in a sports car like the Z, something that's not 'anchored' is bound to fly off especially when you're taking hard corners. I might be wrong though, but it just doesn't seem stable enough. Even though the D1 isn't a perfect fit for the double din space, it just makes sense to me to make the most of the enormous space left behind by the stock HU.

smoothludey, the D1 is a nice unit. I came real close to getting that first. But I decided to go with the N2 which I'm very happy with. I found the flush mounted screen on the D1 very attractive. But did not like how low it was mounted in the stock radio position. The N2, for me, is positioned at just the right height. Above the radio position, and below the stock NAV cubby. Hey, good luck with your customize bracket for a better flush mount look. I hope it works out for you.

Thank you for the pics, steve, and smooth. I have a question for steve. I want to have N2 install in the bottom pocket of the double din, and have a screen in the nav pocket, do you think the N2 will block part of the screen?

I just went out and measured the N2 as if it were mounted in the empty storage slot (as you can see in my pictures) below the unit. The screen + frame measures about 5" high. So I would say YES, with the screen in the out and up position, it will block the view of anything mounted in the stock nav pocket. It almost completely covers it now the way mine is set-up. Not only that, you may have a problem with the screen hitting the shifter when it's trying to pop out then up when mounted that low. Just my opinion, but I hope it helps.

Thank you Steve. I guest I have to find a different place to put the screen, or get a AVIC-D1.

Any of you guys have a schematic and diagrams of the location of the 350Z's computer? I just got an AVIC-N2 and need to know where to hook up the speed sensor line + others.

Thanks
