mtx 7500 sub and mtx 421D amp, any input on them?
alright, iv been waiting forever trying to decide what i want and i think id like to get 1 10" or 12" mtx 7500 dual 4 ohm sub and a mtx 421D amp. I think id like this setup because my original goal was something low budget, around 4-500 for the sub, amp, and cables. i've heard them at Fry's and Car Toys, and i think they sound good for their cost. im dont know much about the amp though, im assuming going with the brand the sub was made by will give me a better sound quality than another CHEAP amp. i've found the 10" sub for 140 and 12" for 160. i can get the amp for 160. what do you all think about the mtx 7500 subwoofer series. Again, im looking for low budget. id really appreciate any comments from anyone that has had or heard this sub in a car. Also, if i listen to mostly rap, and not as much rock, should i do 12" or 10"? Will i be able to tell a significant differance between the 2 sizes if running of that same amp in the same size box? thanks for any input.

I have 2 12" 7500 subs and they sound great - i have them running off an MTX801D amp. My subs are single channel, I believe the dual channel you would have to run the MTX421D. Mine are facing up in the hatch and sound incredible with the bounce off the glass. The hatch enhances the sound I believe because I used to run 1 10" JLAudio W6V2 and it sounded a lot better in my car than it does in my brother's Spec-V.
