It is IMPOSSIBLE for digital radio to have static!

You either have enough bits to make music or not. It's called the digital cliff. You can get music gaps or chirps depending on how the co-deck is written but no static. So that means the problem isn't with the satellite antenna but rather with something internal.

I would check your connections between your Sirius receiver and your FM radio. Typically the car's normal AM/FM radio into the Sirius radio and then there's a cable that runs the signal out from the satellite radio and then into your AM/FM radio.

I would suggest that you read the radio's instruction manual to help identify the cables and where they go.

Which Sirius unit are you using..I'm assuming one with an FM modulator? Have you tried changing the transmit freq to another one?

Sounds like you're using a sirius receiver with the wireless FM modulator. Try the wired FM modulator that Directed makes.

naw, I'm using the wired one that links in to the Kenwood Excelen head units. I don't prefer low-bandwidth, streamed, digitized, mashed, fake music..but that's just me :-)
