getting a GPS system installed on the Touring Z
wassup all, need a little bit of information.
i will be taking delivery next week for my touring. this model doesn't have the GPS system installed. I want to install an Eclipse AVN5435 Navigation System with CD and DVD. In order to do that, I have to replace my head unit with the new navigation system. My question is, will it be compatible with the Bose 6-disc changer in the Touring? Also, are there any other alternatives to have a clean install of the GPS systems? I know some people said that to have a factory GPS install would be impossible because my new car doesn't have the system to begin with, therefore it would take an enormous amount of time and energy to get it pre-wired.
need some help here. thanks.

It will not work with the changer. As far as the unit goes it is the same as hooking up any radio except for one wire. It is the VSS wire. This should be the only extra wire you should have to hook up.
I just bought a Magellan 700. Only about $800 and works great. I bought one for my parents 6 months ago and they use it all the time and even at nearly 70 years old they can use it and wonder how thay got along without it.
