Default Bose Action

Thanx for all the input.............I have decided to make a move.
I am now BEGGING my Dealer to install the new Rockford Fosgate system in my touring. I spoke with my salesman and he agrees this is the only real fix for this problem. I spoke with NNA and are very cooperative on this issue. If anyone wishes to go this route because they are unhappy with the sound, I will keep you posted on my progress.
This should be implemented as an option for all Touring models affected.
Regards,
grogs

Sounds like a plan. This is only the second mention of the Rockford Fosgate sytem I have heard. What is nissan's plan for it? Will all Touring cars from a certain point on contain this system? What are the specs? I wonder because I haven't received my VIN yet and am wondering if I should inquire as to which system I'll be getting and if I could steer it one way or the other. Anybody know where I can get more info. on this?

that sounds nice, but rockford fosgate is not exactly incredable I didnt think. arent they like a cheaper brand of speakers? they dont even make headunits.

seems a bit like trading one crappy system for another. how bout they just give me the cash and Ill give them the radio. hell they can even uninstall it for me.

RF sucks almost as bad as BLOSE, they are both terrible.

RF leverages its high-end, competition grade stuff to develop its name, then makes consumer-level junk with the same brand so people buy it. Just like Sony.

There will probably be a marked improvement over BLOSE, since that is absolutely the worst-of-the-worst (IMO), but don't get your hopes too high...

BTW ares they just recently entered the head unit market... and having head units really doesn't mean anything about speaker quality anyways (the best speaker makers only make speakers usually).

Default Dealer Stated RF as a Possibility not Definite

Guys,

My original mentioning was that Nissan as a whole is "probably" looking at replacing Bose and Clarion as their supplier for their sound systems as a whole and not for the Z specifically. It has never been confirmet to me that the 2004 model will come with it.

I doubt Nissan will upgrade the system... as they would have to completely design the system for the Z with the sub.

Yeah, I had RF about 13 years ago for after market and it sounded great. At that time they only had subs and amps. I'm not aware of the quality of their consumer based equipment.

oh I know good companies that dont make head units, I was just curious how they could replace the bose system with rockford if they didnt have a head unit to use. but they do, so thats a mute point.

all cleared up. thanks
