I had a stock non-bose stereo and wanted a little kick in the pants when I cranked it. After buying a Basslink and having 2 different installers tell me they couldn't install it
I got the wife to OK something more grand. But I was still on a very tight budget...she's a 4th year medical student = no income. ![ugh](https://my350z.com/forum/images/smilies/ugh.gif)
I'm not sure how to insert HTML here so please just check my page (I'll retake some pics to get clearer shots soon): The finished product
I'm really pleased with it. For around $600 total I got a setup that is about as inexpensive as possible for the power and sound IMO. I still need to tweak some settings to get the most out of it, but feeling a few drum hits in my chest and I was grinning immediately.

It's really "boomy" right now. The installer used a Crystal Method CD (Legions of Boom) to tune it and I feel like neighbors a few streets over can hear me.
I have the Bass at +2 (of 6) with the sound focused a bit to the front. I'm going to try lowering the gain and upping the bass to get more punch (less boom). We'll see.
But with the Crystal Method CD in...
Very nice!
