Question NEED some GOOD help w/ stereo system!!

I have been searching away on here and I am getting exhausted w/ all this.
I want a DECENT system for an affordable price, maybe $1000, possibly more. I was thinking about getting one of these Zenclosures. I am also interested in eventually having satelite radio. I would like to know what type/size TV can fit in the cubby hole where the navigation would be.

Please throw me any recomendations!

I went digging in my closet and found the following, please tell me if I should use this equipment in my Z. It's all brand new.

2-Pioneer TS-W253C subwoofers 10" Recomended 1.0Cu Ft 400max power 140 Nom.

1-Sony Xplod XM-2165GTX 1000 watt 2/1 channel amp. 330x2 max power 165x2 (im guessing RMS?)

2-Blaupunkt 6.5" Procomponents speakers 180 max power

Your closet stuff will work.

The 6.5" speakers can either go fore or aft as the stock ones are 6.5" already.

Pioneer, Alpine, and Kenwood make indash systems with navigation and DVD players that will do satellite radio as well.

$1000 is a tight budget for an audio setup. You dont want to cheap out on your system because the difference is obvious when you turn the volume up.

Kicker makes some good stuff that gives pretty good bang for the buck. Look into the solo baric L7s and the components too. I just did a full kicker setup in a 3000GT and it sounds pretty good, and they arent wallet killers either.

I just swapped out my headunit and then added a 10" sub. That's all the upgrade I needed. HUGE difference and I did for around $600.

well I guess it depends how important the sound is to you in your car. For me its crucial, so I spent damn near $6000 on my system, but if you just want it to sound a little better than the stock setup, you can get a decent like $100 headunit, some $100 components and a 10 inch sub and spend practically nothing and sure, it will make a difference compared to the stock without eating your wallet.

The point is you get what you pay for. Just because its a lot better than stock.. so what? you spend $500 it sounds 120% as good as the stock setup. you spend $1500 it sounds 150% as good.... you get my drift.

Sure. Car stereo subwoofer manufactures design their speakers for smaller boxes. Depending on the sound you're seeking there are a handful of high quality subwoofers that will match the 0.75 size of the box.

I went with the Infinity 10VQ and will throw the medium Q slug into the vent.
