Default Recommendations for data acquisition

Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap data acquisition system? What's the best I can get for under llike $500? Under $1000? Anyone have any experience with the GTECH Pro RR Model? That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Ideally I want throttle/brake/steering position, RPM, speed, and G's in 3 axes. Unfortunately, this will cost me around $10,000. So I'm hoping someone will be able to make a cheap recommendation that will have SOME of the functionality I described. Thanks.

Love my AE...

Look into the Beltronics Vector FX2. It will not do everything you are looking for, but for about 179.99 it might work. It will do G-force calculations, accelerometer calculations, hosepower calculations and other stuff.

I use the GTechPro RR for autocross.

I like the combination of G loads and RPM recording.
