I'm not too sure, but if you find out let me know. I have the stock 6-disc changer. I want to sell it. I don't need it anymore. PM me if you're interested.

No you can't.You will need the amp and wiruing harness to work it. The bose amp is located in the rear drivers side under the styrofoam piece in the corner.

Did Nissan relocate the amp, because mine was in the driver's side trunk under some foam? Or were you trying to specify the trunk? I have a 2003 Touring.

I have spent a lot of time looking at the respective wiring harnesses.

I am of the opinion that as long as you are running seperate amps for all your speakers, the Bose is plug and play.

I would appreciate confirmation of this if anyone has tried it.

I would think that Nissan would make a universal harness. The harness in the Base model or Enthusiast may just have extra wires in the harness that only get utilized when the upgrade radio is used.

Someone must have swapped out the base audio system with the Bose and can answer. Were the wires for the bose there. Are the wires for the 4 channel amp or woofer there?

Thanks.

It wont work. Nissan says it wont.

I bought one early thinking it would but it wont. Nissan told me the entire car would have to be rewired.

First you have to have their amp, all speakers have to be the BOSE speakers enclosures and the wiring harness. I have heard of some people trying it with other amps, and speakers but it is a crap shoot,.

and at the end you stilll have the crappy BOSE unti.

My advise is "dont waste your time and money".
