I went upto Audio Connection in MD and ordered it after playing with it for about 15 minutes. ( was installed in a VW). Graphics and everything was nice!! I will post pics on Sat night--this will be in my QX4 though. I do wish this had Sirius radio, but my rep will find out if they are making a tuner for it.

Sure enough, I go in on Sat. and the unit wasn't shipped. Don't know who made the mistake but I went for the 5435. They told me that Eclipse said it would be two weeks before it would be shipped. I am kinda pissed because the dealer didn't call and wasn't really sure if it had come in or not. I was tired of waiting for it --since Jan actually plus I got conflicting reports that the Sirius tuner would and wouldn't be availible. Fri or Sat I will have the Sirius tuner put in. If anyone wants pics of it installed on a Qx4, let me know, I will post it.

i already replied in the other thread, but i doubt Eclipse will put out a 5495 version with Sirius support soon. They took long enough to push this out. After QA testing, they just shipped as is. Also, the first shipments had to be flash updated so some of the dealers had to wait til they got theirs back.

incidentally, my shop in walnut, ca has two 5495's in stock.

Probably next year they will have it. Eclipse released new AVn units in Japan. They are awesome! I had called Eclipse last week, rep said they were working on software for a sirius conversion, then my local dealer called also and their rep told them they will never have a conversion for this unit. So I just said screw it, I was tired of waiting, unit was confirmed to have shipped but never made it. I don't know what happened and I don't care. I really wanted sirius. When I getmy Z, I will plan on the next Eclipse HDD AVN unit and full eclipse sound system.
