Default specific questions about aux-niss

Hey all,
I have been searching for a while now and haven't been able to come up with answers to my question, hopefully someone out there can help...

I want to be able to connect my ipod to a BOSE 6 disc '03 sytem without a SAT button and I'm not going itrip. my questions are...

1. Does the logjam aux-niss work? How's the sound quality?
2. How hard is it to install (HU removal)?
3. how does it connect to ipod, through big bottom input or headphone jacK?
4. I dont care about not having control of the ipod from the HU and dont want to spend a ton of money..is the logjam the best way to go?

The AUXNISS is for the non-Bose system. For the Bose system, try this one...

This is the one i got for my 03 Bose:
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=610
It is soundgate auxniss.
I use to for my dvd's. Sound is excellent. Easy to install, just 2 rca's one for the left channel and one for the right, and your power. That's it. Plugs in right into the back of the radio.

Kinda neat, but still way lacking imo ... I want something that will let me do, from the HU, exactly what I can do from the iPod (if not more). The only interface that comes even close is the Clarion one. And if you look at things like the Pioneer, they have these 7" screens with a teeny tiny little 8 character limit when it comes to track and artist info ... I just don't get it.

Here is my question that I cannot find an answer to:

2003 Bose w/out Sat.

If I get the soundgate AUXNISSv2, does the 6CD changer still work?

If so, how, (do I press the CD6 btn to switch?)

Thanks!

i'm pretty sure you're out of luck... the auxniss plugs into the remote cd port and is selected by the cd / cd changer button

of course you could scap the cd changer since your ipod has ?1 month + of music / book tapes on it, or if the cd changer has rca connectors you could splice in there to connect the ipod and keep both or doesn't the bose have a tape slot - get a tape input - they work fairly well... much better than any transmitter or antena input rigs....

Good Luck!

Product Name: Soundgate AUX3 Audio Switcher for auxiliary input
heres an answer - for $56 more you get this to select the varios extra goodies you can plug into your h/u, hmmmm.... goodies....

think i found your answer at the bottom of my prior post

the "Soundgate AUX3 Audio Switcher" /
website http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=612

allows you to plug / switch 3 things into the auxnissv2 so can have cd changer / ipod AND add that playstation...

Goodluck!

order placed!

pm from qwsxz:

yes you will retain the capability of the 6 cd's changer function
To switch from cd to auxiliary input, you have to push the cd button twice and the display will say CD Tn ... and then it will work.
