Installing Head Unit Help :)
Hi, I recently received a pioneer DEH7400MP from my girlfriend for xmas. I'm wondering if any body knows how to pull out the stock unit, so that i could put the new one in.
Thanks

pull up on ring around the gear shifter. You want to pull up furthest to the rear of the car. Unplug the harness. When that trim peice around the shifter is off, turn it around side ways and out of the way.
remove 6 screws: 2 black ones right beneath the stereo and 4 further in under the white box. Do not unplug the white box...thats the ECU. Pull the ECU outas far as you can.
Open nav door and pull up rubber floor. Remove two small screws. When that piece is off, you will see two screws to remove.
Now the tricky part. Pull at the top towards you. Unplug the harness for the info display. Keep pulling the top of the whole center and kind of rotate the whole thing. The idea behind rotating is that there are these metal prongs that are behind the ECU. Rotating the center so that these prongs go "around" the ECU. When there is enough clearance to remove the the harness behind the stereo....then go to it!!!!
