I have had two antenna amps fail. I am running the FM tuner with just an antenna (bigger than stock), but reception is minimal. I've talked to installers and none of them have ever heard of an antenna amp before. Does anyone know how to get good reception without an antenna amp?

 

You need to connect the antenna amp wire to your stereo so that it turns on when the radio is turned on. Without the amp activated, the reception will always be bad. I forgot to do this when i installed my last headunit, and got next to nothing reception.

 

I know how to connect the amp. Two have failed. I want to remove the antenna amp from the car so that the Z is like every other car. How do I get reception without the pure sh*t Clarian antenna amp?
