Heya Gish, Merry Xmas! Yeah, I figured you'd run into the same **** I did. Man the stock head unit really really sucks. Oh well.
Rob's on the hook w/ the Alpine, also check out the Eclipse and even McIntosh ($800) head units. Though, for the money I don't think you can beat the Alpine 7894. That's what I would've gotten if I didn't want to keep the "stock look" so badly and/or didn't find the McIntosh CD changer w/ NAV controller.

I have one of those you know, I call it a wife Mine goes one step further than the accoustical buddy in that after you listen to it talking the whole time, your stereo imaging is the furthest thing from your mind. Just kidding of course
