Default So far, Best iPod connection for Z

Harman Kardon released new iPod connection kit for car.
It has seperate display and wheels.
I really like that. and I like the color too. It will go well with our Z.

not for $200 why not just buy the auxniss for like a $100 and just use your ipod to control the music. It hooks up directly too.

Install the HK adapter PLUS have that weird screen on the dash....doesn't that beat the purpose for a clean install? I think so. If I wanted to see iPod playlist on a screen other than the HU's, I could just see on the iPod itself!

Yeah .. but this way you can get the Ipod completely out of sight and the screen in basically the display and the "wheel" replaces the need for the ipod ... it is quite convinient for many

I'm planning to install that screen in the stock nav. locatoin.
so far, i'm using 8th ipod and planning to get ipod photo next week.
using ipod everyday on the cupholder on the pass. side make ipod so hot (sun light) and sometimes it makes ipod metal back piece exended. so I'm considering this H/K option so I can put my ipod on the back somewhere safe (from sun and from theft) and use this kit.

I like the alpine set up, allows me to control my ipod from my head unit. Keeps the ipod out of site.

+1..sure that HK setup is kinda novel, but way outta place for the cockpit of the Z IMO. i have my wiring run into the cubby so the iPod is outta sight and easy to get to if i wanna take it out.

I like.

The stock navigation cubby is a great location for this guy ... but there's already a monitor installed there on mine. Wonder if it would fit near the headend in the unused pocket below my one DIN sized headend?

My iPod is already wired from the console cubby. I just leave it on random play or pick a playlist before starting to drive.
