Just bought a Metra kit online. The custom piece that was made looks like crap. Thanks guys!

Not sure what you mean by the "custom piece that was made", but if you are referring to the double win trim that you have to remove the center piece from, I used it and looks great.
Can you post a pic?

No, I mean the trim piece that the installer fabricated instead of buying something that was made to fit right like the Metra Kit. Pics of the piece I am referring to are linked to my "signature". Click on the http site. The piece is blk and it doesn't quit line up right.

Oh, I see. The funny thing is that I went to a couple of Car Toys and Tweeter and they all told me that I would have to custom fabricate the trim. I guess they did not know the Metra has the piece in it.

The part number for the Metra kit from Crutchfield is 120997402. It just says 350Z dash kit but when it arrives it is the Metra kit.

Today I got my Door speakers mounted. Getting the wires into the doors turned out to be a a lot more work than I thought. I didn't have a spacer so I just cut the center out of the bose speaker and used that.

The only step I have left is mounting the NAV brain, and puting everything back together. This will be done as soon as a couple brackets arrive from Nissan.

Final pics and cleaned up wire shots will be up soon.

Just ordered the "Dash Kit" from Crutchfield. The ECLIPSE AVX2494 has already arrived. Hopefully the METRA Kit and Bose Interface Adaptor will on Tuesday with installation to follow. When in, will post pics.
