Default Installing a Radio in a Z With Bose and Navigation is HARD...

I just installed a Pioneer DEH-P80MP in my 2003 touring Z with Navigation.

It was one of the hardest isntalls I've done.

First I had to take out the console and remove the old radio. Then I had to take out the factory amp in the trunk and re connect the wires (using Paul350z's instructions). Then I had to connect the harness, and make a custom harness which connects the Navgiation to the headunit.

It consisted of a transistor, a relay, and a resistor. After I hooked all that up. I had to put everything back in. And man that center consle is a pain to back in right.

I will post pictures tomorrow I'm tired. I spent half of yesterday and all of today doing this.

You used my drawings

That thing's gonna smoke for sure!

I use to do custom stereo installations before I enlisted 24 years ago. The Z is a bear alright as I had to field strip the thing from the dash board to the rear license plate for my install of a DVD navigation, two amplifiers, 7 speakers, cd-disc player, rear view camera, and bling-bling LED and neon interior lighting.
