i cannot believe this.

yesterday, i bought two 12" subs, the enclosure, AND an amp. how much do u think i paid? 250? 350?

it only cost me $125!!!!!

the only problem is that the box is way to big so i have to saw off the extra parts to get it to fit in the car, but for those kinds of saving i dont care.

 

Saw that on TV, people camping outside, then rushing in like a herd of sheep.
Man the marketers/advertisers have people pegged.

I hope you didn't buy their "Dual' brand or 'Lightning Audio', if so keep your receipt and go back brothren.

 

Sawing off part of the box might make the subs sound like @$$! Check the specs on air space and see if you should get a custom box! Trust me you don't want a crappy sounding system!

 

lol I'd love to see this after he saws the box and fts 2 12's back there. Now resell the sytem for more than you paid for it and buy something that will fit in the Z.

It's not a bad price, but it's no "CRAZY" deal.

That's like saying I got an awesome deal on a brand new car! It was only $10,000.... but it's a Hyundai.

 

It's crap. Most of what BB carries is just that crap.

I'm just gonna sell it to someone for more than i bought it for. i already have 2 or 3 potential buyers.

I had already bought an amp prior to this, but it hasnt arrived yet, and today i bought a subwoofer.

My recommendation is to stop looking at CRAP! I'm just giving you a hard time man, LOL! I think you should get something a little better than the Sony stuff. How much money do you want to spend? If all you want to spend is about $125, you won't get anything too great anyway, so you might as well use any cheap stuff you can find.

 

Dual is crap, and those subs are $125 for the whole setup year round out here. Sony Xplode's have been a joke for years. when they thump, they whistle...not supposed to do that. $125 will buy you a nice set of none component system speakers. If you want some nice sound put some money back and put a single 10 back there, or wait till you get a good chunk saved up and build a nice system. Buying those is like buying one of those $35 electric superchargers. You gotta spend some money do get good results and quality. Find a friend with a nice size trunk or a hatchback and sell it to them, or hell $125 make someone happy for christmas.

 

They sell Kenwood, Alpine and Pioneer..... I would not necessarily call that crap unless you know something I do not....

man i screwed up. well it's too late now. i already paid for the sony amp and sub, and it cost about 185. i had no idea that Xplod was crappy. some1 actually told me that they have xplod and they really love it. are they really THAT bad? i have no previous experience with audio equipment, so do u even think i would notice the flaws?

 

If you have another Z with you that even has only a slightly better system you sure will!!!

 

Look man, you're in a forum where people spend thousands of dollars on their systems. If you ask us if these parts are good, of course we're gonna say they're crap. Compared to a $200 sub and a $500 amp, xplod and dual ARE crap.

If you're looking to spend ~$200 for a system, you can't exactly be picky. You gotta take what you can get.

PS: wtf are you doing buying stuff that you know nothing about? Do some research next time and get the most out of your money.

 

You guys crack me up. Sure, some subs are better than others, but I have seen a manufacturing line where a lot of subs you think are good and others that are crap are produced under the same roof, with the same materials. Unless you have seen teh subs being built, you really don't know what is what anymore. Assuming the same level of product to start with, a proper box built around a sub with a "crap" speaker will sound just as good as one of these "better" speakers, given the same equalization. It's really not what you have, it's what you do with it.
