CRAZY deal at best buy yesterday
i cannot believe this.
yesterday, i bought two 12" subs, the enclosure, AND an amp. how much do u think i paid? 250? 350?
it only cost me $125!!!!!
the only problem is that the box is way to big so i have to saw off the extra parts to get it to fit in the car, but for those kinds of saving i dont care.

Sawing off part of the box might make the subs sound like @$$! Check the specs on air space and see if you should get a custom box! Trust me you don't want a crappy sounding system!

If you want some nice sound put some money back and put a single 10 back there, or wait till you get a good chunk saved up and build a nice system. Buying those is like buying one of those $35 electric superchargers. You gotta spend some money do get good results and quality. Find a friend with a nice size trunk or a hatchback and sell it to them, or hell $125 make someone happy for christmas.

They sell Kenwood, Alpine and Pioneer..... I would not necessarily call that crap unless you know something I do not....

If all you want to spend is about $125, you won't get anything too great anyway, so you might as well use any cheap stuff you can find.

If you're looking to spend ~$200 for a system, you can't exactly be picky. You gotta take what you can get.
PS: wtf are you doing buying stuff that you know nothing about? Do some research next time and get the most out of your money.
You guys crack me up. Sure, some subs are better than others, but I have seen a manufacturing line where a lot of subs you think are good and others that are crap are produced under the same roof, with the same materials. Unless you have seen teh subs being built, you really don't know what is what anymore. Assuming the same level of product to start with, a proper box built around a sub with a "crap" speaker will sound just as good as one of these "better" speakers, given the same equalization. It's really not what you have, it's what you do with it.
