Yeah they fit. I am doing it in my 2006. See my install thread for how I did my Xenarc. Otherwise a farenheit is even easier... or you can pay me $100 and I'll do it for you.

P.S. Before you look at my thread, yes I repainted it.

we'll see. Once I get the rest of my parts in I'll fit this to the interior. IT WILL fit. It's just a matter of how much alteration it's going to take. I'll start work on that in about a week and will be sure to fully document it every step of the way. I know a lot of us 2006 owners are in need of info 'cause our interiors are different so I'll do what I can to get up as many How-to's and info on interior and audio install stuff.

Does anyone know what the part # is for the 06' nav pocket? It looks like it should fit a 7" screen just like the '03's. I've been to a few dealers and none of them seem to be able to find the part #. Here's a link I found that may be the right one;

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...=5&catalogid=2

If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated.

In that link, #5 is the cubby for the cars w/out navi.
If you want the one for the NAVI use this one:

Yeah I know that's the right one, it just didn't have a picture. I'd just like to know the part # so I can get it from a local dealer. If anyone could let me know I'd appreciate it.

Ron
This past weekend I put an 03 cubby in my 05 Z, I installed a farenheit screen. I replaced the off-color door skin with the door skin from my 05 and it looks perfect. It was not that big a deal, but took a couple of hours.

Notables:

I used the 05 outer door, but the 03 inside door cover trim.
You have to trim a few of the screw hole "chutes" down on the inside of the 05 door to make the 03 inner cover fit right.
You have to rig a connection from the 05 door to the 03 metal mechanism that pulls the door back upon opening it.
You will need to melt down a couple of plastic tabs when replacing the door, be sure to leave these tabs as intact as possible when disassembling.

All in all it was no big deal and it looks great, like I never changed it.

I just bought a digital camera because my last one was stolen, as soon as it arrives I will post pics.

Has anyone had any luck getting an '06 nav bezel? I ordered the correct part # from Performance Nissan, but received the same lid I have (flip up lid w/o nav). If anyone has one and could post pictures I'd appreciate it.

Thats a crock that the '06 lid doesn't slide back into the console like on the '03. Anyone know why they chose to drop that feature? I've got an '06 and I would very much like to try to install one of the cubbys with the retractable lid.

Take a look at the videos of this thread. You'll understand why.

I am actually in the planning phase of my CarPc adventure, and was wondering something related to this thread.

I understand that most folks are installing their screens in '03 cubbys, and as specified earlier in this thread, the non-nav flavor is what most are ordering. My Z is equipped with the factory nav, and is an '03.

I was wondering if the '03 Nav cubby is compatible with aftermarket screens. In other words, can I simply remove the factory screen from my '03 nav cubby and fit a Lilliput or Xenarc, or do I need to purchase an '03 Non-Nav screen and install the aftermarket monitor in there?

Thanks,
guitman.
