Where to ground my V1 hard wire?
Sup boys,
I was doing the "stealth" install for my V1 last night and couldn't find where to ground it. I have my VI in the rear hatch and ran the wire to the front via the passenger door, under the A pillar, under the dash and have the direct wire port by the front cigarette lighter. I was goind to tap the red wire from the cigarette lighter but can't find a place to ground. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

I bet having the dector adds 20MPH to the ticket speed...
All car frame metal is grounded. A cheap VOM would verify that.
Where did you mount it in the hatch for a clear view of the windshield?
The sensative laser check is attenuated not being near the windshield.
But the Laser alarm just tells you when to park.

I mounted it in the head liner in between the passenger and driver seat. Check out Rahtok's install for a pic. I know the the car frame is where to ground. I'm curious as to where people who have done this have specifically grounded the direct wire unit. Can't seem to find a place under the passenger side dash. So true about Laser. You're just SOL when that happens. thanks.
There's lots of plastic and metal that's not grounded in and around the dash. The steel below the kick panel's plastic is connected to the uni-body and is ground. There's another one of these factory ground points just behind the triple guage above the headend.
